Please do not “Get Out”

There is something about this movie that makes me just smile every time I just talk about it. It’s one of those movies that has a special place in my heart. I think the reason why is because it’s so thought provoking and a great piece of cinema. Jordan Peele is an absolute master mind when it came to making this movie. This is as near perfect as a movie can be. This movie has so much social commentary and it is told on such a smart and intelligent way. The movie is entertaining as hell. It is one of the wildest rides you ever see on a screen. So many hidden meanings and easter eggs throughout this film make rewatching this movie so much fun. A movie that will be discussed in film classes for years and years. This was his first film as a director as well and you can say that he knocked it out of the park with this one. The movie had a budget of 4.5 million dollars and has made over 176 million in the United States alone. In my opinion this movie set the standard for future horror movies. I will not share in spoilers in this review but I will say that this movie contains no useless scenes. Everything that happens in the movie either has something to do with the overall topic or a hint of what is about to come. This is one of the best written movies that I have ever watched. Daniel Kaluuya plays a great protagonist and has one of the best performances of that year as well. The Oscars did not give a lot of love to this movie because of its subject matter but trust me when I say that it is the best picture of 2017. The amount of mystery and suspense in this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. Please let me know if you all want a deep dive spoiler article for this one. If you haven't seen this movie yet, what are you waiting for?
